1-3 pm – Art Exhibit Opening Reception with Toni Beener and June T. Bell, as well as Book Signing by Karen Bowden Cox at The Meeting Place on Market

3-3:30 pm – Lima Senior High Jazz Combo at the Civic Center

3-7 pm – Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Civic Center!

* Horse Drawn Wagon Rides throughout the Town Square

Presented by The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce “Chamber’s Favorite Things” Join us at our December Women In Business luncheon and jump start your holiday shopping!! Venders will be showcasing their finest and will offer cash and carry items for you to purchase and take home with you that day. But wait… that’s not all!! Wake, Rattle & Roll: December 2nd 7:30 AM South Hall

Presented by The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce Rise and shine with the Chamber of Commerce! Join us and over 100 other business leaders at this monthly breakfast meeting to learn about what is going on within the Lima/Allen County Community. Program starts at 7:30am – Arrive early for registation and networking – make sure to bring your business cards!! Bells, Brass & Bows: December 10th 7:30 PM

Experience the wonder of Lima Symphony Orchestra’s holiday pops concert as the Lima Symphony Chorus and special guest Shannon O’Neill join them with sacred carols, timeless classics and sentimental holiday favorites sure to add joy, magic and treasured memories to your family’s tradition. Holiday Havoc– Bruiser Wrestling: December 10th 7 PM

aturday December 10th, Bruiser Wrestling presents another night of family friendly sports entertainment, HOLIDAY HAVOC! Bruiser Wrestling returns to the VMCC for another fundraiser for Our Daily Bread soup kitchen. Doors open @ 6pm and bell time is 7 pm. Dick the Bruiser Jr, KC Thunder, Mickey Dahmer, Mr Fitness and “JODI” will be among the superstars that night. Advance tickets are $10 at the VMCC Box Office and $14 at the door night of the show! Show in the Exhibit Hall.

The Nutcracker All Jazzed Up! December 17th at 12 PM & 4 PM

Lyn’s Academy of Dance will be performing The Nutcracker – All Jazzed Up on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 in the Crouse Performance Hall. There will be two performances, 12:00 and 4:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.00 or at Lyn’ s Academy of Dance from November 28-December 13th . The dancers of Lyn’s Academy of Dance are thrilled to be performing this jazzed up Holiday classic. This version of the classic Nutcracker Ballet is filled with many surprises; tap dancing mice, jazzing icicles, adorable miniature angels and many other fun filled dances. We would love to have you join us for this one of a kind performance!

New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas: Simply Sinatra with Steve Lippia: December 31st 7:30 PM

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas….unless its music. On New Year’s Eve, the Lima Symphony Orchestra joins “the Chairman of the Board” with Simply Sinatra. Acclaimed Sinatra interpreter Steve Lippia will fly you to the moon with his crooning styles and seductive singing. There’s no better way to pay tribute to the classically cool style of Old Blue Eyes than with the youthful charisma, swinging stage presence and sublime vocals of Steve Lippia as he performs Sinatra’s biggest hits from The Best Is Yet To Come and My Way to I’ve Got You Under My Skin and New York, New York. Live Music All Summer Long in Downtown Lima!

Wow, you will not have a boring weekend this summer in downtown Lima.  The schedule is full of live music concerts, most of them FREE!

Party in the Square

Rally in the Square is a popular event every Friday night throughout the summer in the Town Square.  Concerts are every Friday 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.  There’s a very small cover charge.

Dancing Under the Stars

The Lincoln Park Shelter House hosts live music and classic dancing every Friday night, from 7 – 9 pm.  Come to dance, or bring a lawn chair and just watch.  Free!

Music & Good Food

The Meeting Place on Market presents Open Mic night every Friday night, 7 – 10 pm, and concerts most Saturday nights.  Free.

A live band plays most weekends at Mulligan’s Bar after the Rally! 

Ohio Theatre also usually has live music after the Rally.

Big Band Sound

The Lima Area Concert Band has concerts throughout the summer at various locations, including the Civic CenterOn Sunday, June 26th, they give a free concert at the Children’s Garden.  3 pm.

Concerts in the Park

Free Concerts in the Park start Sunday, June 26th, and go throughout the summer.  The concerts start at 7 pm at the Faurot Park Pavilion.
